reading passage tips: - 60% (approximate number) of the text is purely filler, and can be skipped - reduce hesitation; be more confident in your choices - increase reading speed - patterns/predictability is your friend - parse multiple paragraphs of text simultaneously - read as you do questions - mc: either other answers save for one doesn't line up with the text or don't make any sense; or one answer is extremely obvious/can be deduced with common sense. You can even use your short term memory - pictures: pay attention to the paragraph required; if it's positive or negative - cloze: pay attention to the paragraph required; if it's only one word or multiple; if it needs to be found from the paragraph or not - numeric numbers are easy to spot. if you don't see them, they're not there. I've never encountered a situation where a numeric number in the question is changed to letters, or vice versa
